WARNINGS FOR PARENTS
A small minority of people (about 1 in 4000) may have seizures or blackouts when exposed to certain flashing lights
or patterns, such as while watching TV or playing video games, even if they have never had seizures before. Those who have had
seizures, loss of awareness, or other symptoms related to an epileptic condition should consult a doctor before playing any video
game. We recommend that parents observe their children while they play. In the presence of symptoms such as visual impairment,
eye or muscle twitching, dizziness, uncontrollable movements, loss of consciousness and orientation or convulsions, stop playing
and consult a doctor.
To minimize the risk of a seizure, follow these indications when utilising video games:
• stay as far as possible from the screen;
• do not play if you are tired or sleepy;
• always play in a well lit environment;
• always take a 10-15 minute break after each hour of play;
• in case of fatigue or pain in the hands, wrists, arms or eyes during play, or if you have symptoms such as tingling, numbness,
burning or stiffness, take a break and rest for several hours before playing again.
• If you continue to have any of the above symptoms or any other discomfort during or after play, stop playing and consult a doctor.
