6 Maintenance
Maintain the tank cleaning machine with care.
Read the instructions carefully and pay special attention to the warnings!
Always keep minor spare parts kit in stock.

INTERNAL INSPECTION INTERVALS
An interval of 100 hours is recommended initially. If all of the
components are found to be in acceptable condition after the first
100 hours, the Alfa Laval GJ may then be inspected and routine
preventive maintenance should be performed every 500 to 700
hours of operation, depending on the severity of use.

TIPS
All the bearings, bushings, seals and O-rings are wear parts.
Ideally, they should all be replaced, as a group, every 500 to 700
hours of operation, depending on the severity of use. If just one
bearing or seal is worn or damaged, replace both it and its mate,
not just the worn or damaged part. Verify that the mating cups
(8.2) and (9.3) are not scored. Replacing new bearings and seals
in scored cups may prematurely wear the new bearings and may
cause premature failure of the bearings and seals.
