5.4 Cleaning
5.4.3
Cleaning of bowl discs
Bowl discs
Handle the bowl discs carefully so as to avoid
damage to the surfaces during cleaning.
1.
Remove the bowl discs from the distributor
and lay them down,
one by one
, in the
cleaning agent.
2.
Let the discs remain in the cleaning agent
until the deposits have been dissolved. This
will normally take between two and four
hours.
3.
Finally clean the discs with a
soft
brush.
NOTE
Mechanical cleaning is likely to scratch the
disc surfaces causing deposits to form
quicker and adhere more firmly.
A gentle chemical cleaning is therefore
preferable to mechanical cleaning.
CAUTION
Cut hazard
The discs have sharp edges.
