6.2.3.
Precautionary measures in inverters
Observe the following warning for inverters:
DANGER
For some time after disconnecting the photo-
voltaic generator, the terminals of an inverter
may still be live with a dangerous voltage until
the capacities in the inverter have discharged
themselves.
Read the documentation for the inverter.
6.2.4.
Health and safety protection
CAUTION
Solar modules warm up as a result of solar
irradiation. Under extreme conditions (e.g.
high irradiation, high ambient temperature,
still air) the module surface and the frame
can reach temperatures of 70 °C (158 °F) or
more.
This also applies to modules that have been
disconnected, had their current switched off,
or have been short-circuited. Modules in a
string may heat up unevenly. Protect yourself
against burns by wearing gloves and, if
necessary, other suitable clothing.
Protect yourself against solar irradiation
when working outside. This applies
particularly in the case of strong solar
irradiation and longer periods outdoors.
Protect yourself by wearing sun protection,
as well as by wearing UV-absorbing
protective goggles and suitable clothing.
