tower base. Ensure that the safe working load of the supporting decks and the tower structure is not

Stabilizers / Ballast
Stabilizers shall always be fitted where specified. These increase the effective base area of the tower
y
p
and increase its stability as a free standing structure. Best effect is obtained from the stabilizers when
they are arranged in a footprint as a square. (See Pic.1)
When using tower against a strong wall they may be positioned as Pic.2, but the wall must be at least
2/3 of the height of the top working platform. Tower to be left unattended in exposed positions should be
tied to a secure structure or alternatively dismantled
