6�2 Connecting to a Bluetooth device

Bluetooth is a short-range wireless communication technology that
you can use to exchange data, or connect to other Bluetooth devices
for various uses.
To turn on Bluetooth, touch
Settings

Bluetooth
. Your phone and
other available devices will show on the screen.
To turn on Bluetooth

Switch the toggle
to activate this function.
To make your phone more recognizable, you can rename your phone
which is visible to others.

Bluetooth

Touch and rename your phone.
•
Enter a name, and touch
RENAME
to confirm.
To pair/connect your phone with a Bluetooth device
To exchange data with another device, you need to turn Bluetooth
on and pair your phone with the Bluetooth device that you want to
exchange data with.

Refresh

•
Touch a Bluetooth device you want to pair your phone with in the list.

In the dialog that pops up, touch
PAIR
to confirm.

If the pairing is successful, your phone connects to the device.

To disconnect/unpair from a Bluetooth device

6�3 Connecting to a computer via USB
With a USB cable, you can transfer media files and other files between
your phone and a computer.
To connect your phone to the computer
Use the USB cable that came with your phone to connect the phone
to a USB port on your computer. You will receive a notification of

for file transfer�
The first time you connect the phone via USB, a debugging dialog box
pops up. Touch

to allow data exchange between your phone and
computer

otherwise, you can use USB for charging only.
Touch
USB for file transfer
and choose the way in which you want to
transfer files. By default,
Transfer files (MTP)
is selected.
Before using MTP, make sure that the driver (Windows Media
Player 11 or higher version) has been installed.
To locate the data you have transferred or downloaded to your phone,
touch
Files
. All data you have downloaded is stored in
Files
where you
can view media files (videos, photos, music and more), rename files,
install applications on your phone, etc.
6�4 Sharing your phone's data connection
You can share your phone's data connection with a single computer
via a USB cable (USB tethering) or with up to eight devices at once
by turning your phone into a portable Wi-Fi hotspot or via Bluetooth.
