Mid-Mounting the Chassis In the Rack
The switch may also be installed in the rack using mid-mount flanges. To mid-mount the switch in a rack,
follow the steps below.

If needed, remove the mounting flanges from the front of the chassis and the slot rails from the side of
the chassis by unscrewing the attachment screws.

Reinstall the mounting flanges at the mid point of the chassis using the threaded holes, as shown in the
diagram below.

Mark the holes on the rack where the chassis is to be installed.

One person should lift and position the chassis until the mid-mount flanges are flush with the rack post.

Align the holes in the flanges with the rack holes marked in step 3.
