6.4 Directory Search Settings
The feature is implemented as follows:
•
If the first character is digit, the IP phone will search whether
phoneNumber1/phoneNumber2/phoneNumber3/firstName/lastName contain/start with the entered
character(s).
•
If the first character is not digit, the IP phone will search whether firstName/lastName contain/start
with the entered character(s).
The following table lists the parameters you can use to configure directory search settings.

It configures the search type when searching the contact in Local Directory or Remote
Phone Book.

6.5 Remote Phone Book
The remote phone book is a centrally maintained phone book, stored on the remote server. Users only need
to configure the access URL of the remote phone book. The IP phone can establish a connection with the
remote server and download the phone book, and then display the remote phone book entries on the phone.
The ALE Myriad Series IP phones support up to 6 remote phone book groups.
The following table lists the parameters you can use to configure remote phone book.
