4.3 - VENTING EXHAUST AIR

The air exhaust should be piped to an isolated container for safe disposal of the product being pumped, in the 
event of a diaphragm failure. This also reduces the pump noise. As shown in the illustration a larger muffler 
can be fitted to further reduce noise.

4.4 - BEFORE STARTING THE PUMP

Ensure that the suction pipes/hoses are free from debris. It is advised to run the pump with a compatible fluid 
(e.g. water) prior to production start-up to ensure the system is correctly installed and there is no leakage.
