In the INPUT FAIL box:
MAIN,
RESERVE: Red. These LEDs light up to indicate that an alarm condition has been
detected at the corresponding input.
In the INPUT SELECTION box:
MAIN,
RESERVE: Green. These LEDs light up to indicate the input selected for delivery to
the output.
In the SWITCH MODE box:
AUTO: Green. This LED lights up to indicate that Automatic switching has been
selected.
HALF AUTO: Green. This LED lights up to indicate that Semiautomatic switching has
been selected.
MANUAL: Green. This LED lights up to indicate that Manual switching has been
selected.
SEL: Pushbutton. Pressing this button changes the switching mode and the
input selected.
In the ALARM box:
FAILURE: Red. This LED blinks when a change to the signal source selected has
occurred. This also generates an audible beep (which can be masked).
RESET: Pushbutton. A quick press of this button stops the blinking of the LED and
the audible beep. In Semiautomatic mode a sustained press of this button
rearms the module.
4.2. Configuration from the front panel
Selection of the operating mode is performed via sustained presses of the SELECT button
in the SWITCH MODE box. In manual mode, quick presses of the button change the
selected input.
4.3. Functional description
The ASW3000C01 contains two man functional blocks: one that detects errors in the
DVB-ASI inputs and the other with the control logic used to determine which output to
use.
Each input circuit includes a deserializer and TS packet synchronizer that can analyze the
packets received as well as count them based upon their PID. This allows different error
conditions to be set for each input signal.
