6.16 Protocol 

The below protocols can ONLY stream the contents from a server located remotely. 

(If you want to download & play from a server or upload the contents to a server, use FTP Server & 

Client function later the pages) 

 

1. Function Explanation 

MG-450HD supports 4 types of protocols. 
MG-450HD can stream the contents (Movie, Audio, Photos) from the server located remotely through Wired or Wireless network 
connection. 

 

1) SAMBA

 (This is Windows sharing function and Manual setup is added) 

MG-450HD can access to a SAMBA server that has the shared folders and stream the contents from the shared folders through 
network connection. 
 

2) uPNP 

MG-450HD can access to a server that is using uPNV AV protocol and stream the contents from the server through uPNP protocol. 

-> Regarding how to setup of uPNP server on a PC, you can refer to TVersity UPNP usage. 

 

3) NFS (Linux Server) 

MG-450HD can access to a NFS server located remotely and stream the contents from the shared folders. 
 

4) FTP
