b. Contacting Support:
It is sometimes very hard to diagnose a GPS receiver problem. As such, before you
contact us, we want you to try a simple test (we named it the LED blink test)
LED blink test:
1.
Put your GPS receiver into at least 60% sight of the sky
2.
Turn on the receiver and leave it there for a while (~8mins).
3.
If the red LED start to blink (lights up once every second), chances are your
receiver to working perfectly.
However, there are some problems which are harder to resolve, if your receiver failed the
LED blink test, please include a log of your NMEA code in an email. Within the email
include this:
1.
Item/Order Number
2.
Name
3.
Model of the device you are using with the receiver
4.
Description of the problem
5.
Log of NMEA code in a .txt file (~5 minutes worth of data)
Please include this and sent it to [email protected]
For those who do not know what NMEA codes are or how to log them. Please read
further on. We have included how to log NMEA codes only on our two supported
software’s. In these examples, there is ‘fix’, however the method of logging is the same
without a fix.
