3.  Cleaning

3.1 Preparation for cleaning

Please switch off the appliance first and disconnect the mains plug before cleaning

the humidifier.

Open the upper lid of the humidifier and first remove the white water tank and the

black steam nozzle shaft incl. steam nozzle.

Now unscrew the residual water drain (see illustration on the right), which is

located on the lower rear side, and empty the appliance completely of any residual
water.
Note: It is best to place the appliance in a sink to empty it, as up to one litre of
residual water can still run off !

3.2 Cleaning the housing and the wet area

Only use mild cleaning agents to clean your humidifier.

Rinse the white water tank carefully and wipe it from the outside with a damp cloth.

Next, clean the black steam nozzle shaft incl. the steam nozzle.

Now carefully clean the white water cup incl. the ultrasonic water vapour unit in the lower part of your machine.

Notes: In the case of hard water (the tap water contains too much calcium and magnesium), limescale deposits
can occur in the humidifier and especially in the water cup. These limescale deposits in the unit and especially
in the area of the evaporator and the water vapour unit can lead to impaired functioning. We therefore
recommend that you

Clean the evaporator and the ultrasonic water vapour unit every week.

Change the water in the water tank regularly to keep it fresh.

The ultrasonic water vapour unit itself is made of silver metal and has three approx. 2 cm large evaporators
(eyes) on the top.

a.)  Add 5-10 drops of a suitable cleaning agent (e.g. Dimanin A*

available in any pharmacy*

) to the surface of

the vaporisers or also to the remaining area of the water cup and wait a few minutes.

b.)  Then carefully wipe off any flakes of dirt (limescale) from the

surfaces with a soft sponge or the enclosed brush (see
illustration on the right).
Note: Never clean the evaporators with objects made of metal
or blunt material! This would damage the evaporators.

c.)  Finally, rinse the evaporator / water cup well with clear water.

With the exception of the electrical control panel, all parts of the

humidifier can be wiped or cleaned with a soft damp cloth when the
unit is switched off.

Remove any water, clean the unit thoroughly and dry it well if you are not going to use the humidifier for a long

time.
