Step 15
Install the lock washer and nut.
Use the 7mm nut driver to securely
tighten the nut.
Step 16
Reinstall the outer diaphragm.
Align the diaphragm intake to point
towards the rubber boot.
Step 17
Reuse the four screws that you
removed from earlier to secure the
outer diaphragm into place. Pre-start
the top two screws first with a Phillips
screwdriver. This will help make it
easier when installing the bottom
two screws. Securely tighten all four
screws evenly to ensure a proper seal.
Step 14
Install the 2
nd
protective washer
onto the diaphragm followed by
the diaphragm backboard. The
backboard should be installed with
the curved side facing inward. It can
be helpful to tilt the compressor to
keep the washer and diaphragm
backboard in place. Make sure the
protective washer is installed evenly
between the diaphragm backboard
and the diaphragm.
