PROBLEM
SOLUTION
Unit does not turn on.
• Check that unit is plugged in and outlet has
power.
• Check that unit is turned on.
The controls are unresponsive
• Check that unit has water. Refill tank.
• Verify tank lid and vapor nozzle are secured in
place.
Humidifier is not putting out
enough vapor
• Insufficient water in tank. Refill tank.
• Ensure unit is on level surface, not inclined.
• Check that output is set to correct level.
• Ensure unit is clean, and oil hasn’t built up on
interior surfaces.
• Make sure nebulizer is not damaged.
Increased noise level
• Check that unit is on a flat, level surface.
• Ensure unit is not placed on soft absorbent
surface.
Strange smell coming from unit
• If first time use, this is normal and will dissipate
shortly.
• The humidifier may be growing bacteria. Clean
unit according to maintenance instructions on
page 9.
• Nebulizer may be dirty. Unplug unit and clean
the
nebulizer
as described on page 9.
Water is leaking from unit
• The mist guide column is not securely in place
Verify the guide is locked into place
• The lid or vapor nozzle is not secured in place.
• The unit has been moved or jostled, allowing
water to spill.
White dust appears on surfaces
near humidifier.
• Often the result of using softened water. Use
non-softened water.
• If it continues, change to filtered or distilled
water.
Two dashes “--” flash on the
display
• This indicates the ambient humidity is above
90% or below 20%. The actual humidty will
return to the display when it falls between these
parameters.
