PROBLEM
SOLUTION
Unit does not have power.
• Check that unit is plugged in and outlet has
power.
• Check that unit is turned on.
Humidifier is not putting out
enough steam.
• Insufficient water in tank. Refill tank.
• Ensure unit is on level surface, not inclined.
• Mineral deposits have built up on the heating el-
ement or on the inner chamber. Perform weekly
cleaning.
• Water tank was washed with detergent
• Add a pinch of table salt to increase mineral
content and speed up steam production. If still
no steam after 10 more minutes, add another
pinch or two of salt.
Do not exceed a teaspoon
of salt.
Bezel on knob is red.
• The water tank is nearly empty or empty.
Unit will have to be turned to the Reset “0” posi-
tion, refilled and allowed to cool for 15 minutes,
minimum.
Condensation forms around humid-
ifier or windows.
• Mist setting is too high. Reduce to lower setting.
• Open door to room so steam will not build up
condensation on surfaces
Water is leaking from unit.
• The water tank is not situated correctly on the
base.
• The tank is cracked or has developed a leak.
Replace the tank.
• The unit has been moved or jostled, allowing
water to spill.
Strange smell is coming from unit.
• First time use, this is normal and will dissipate
shortly.
• The humidifier may be growing bacteria. Clean
unit according to maintenance instructions on
page 9.
