Starting the Smartair
Before switching on the device, check
that Smartair is turned off and the front switch
is in the OFF position.
·
Place the humidifi er on a fl at surface, at least
60 cm above the fl oor and 10 cm from the
wall.
·
Fill in the tank with cold tap water and check
the correct position of the seal on the tank
cover.
·
Put the fi lled tank on Smartair’s base.
·
Plug the cord in an electrical socket.
·
The Smartair humidifier is now ready to use.
Operating instructions
·
Push once on the ‘‘power’’ button or
on
the remote control. A second push will switch
the device off.
·
Press the ’’max-min’’ button or
on the remote
control to adjust the humidifi cation power.
Smartair has three humidifi cation speeds.
·
Press the ’’ions’’ button or
on the remote
control to activate ionization mode. Press this
button again to disable it. This mode allows
you to improve the quality of indoor air and
brings a feeling of well-being.
·
The digital display shows the current humidity
rate in the room. The desired mist level can
be set with the’’humi’’ button or
on the
remote control between 45 and 90%. Every
push on this button increases the mist rate by
5%. When the desired level reaches 90%, a
new push sets a continuous humidifi cation,
regardless of the humidity rate.
·
Smartair has a ‘‘timer’’ function. Each push
on this button or on
on the remote control
extends the operating time by one hour up to
twelve. Smartair will automatically stop when
the selected time has elapsed.
·
Smartair automatically stops when the tank
is empty. Turn off the device, fill the tank and
replace it on its base. Smartair is now ready to
work again.
Caution
·
Check that the housing is not swamped.
·
Do not use solvents or abrasive products when
cleaning the device.
·
The housing is made of ABS plastic, the use
of essential oils is not recommended. Any
damage following the use of essential oils will
not be covered under warranty.
·
Change the water in the tank at least once
every 72 hours (in case of occasional usage)
in order to avoid any bacteria growth.
Maintenance
Daily maintenance
·
Before any operation, unplug the device.
·
Empty the water from the tank and rinse off with
clear water in order to remove any eventual
scale deposit.
·
Dry the tank with absorbant tissue.
Weekly maintenance
·
Fill the tank with 200 mL of water added with
a small quantity of white vinegar.
·
Dry the transducer, clean it with a soft brush
and wipe it with a soft tissue.
Storage
·
Clean as previously recommended with a white
vinegar-based solution.
·
Let the device dry.
·
Store in a dry place, preferably in its original
packaging. Avoid high temperatures.
