4.11 EDM Function
1. Function Introduction
This function is for EDM machining.When current value is equal to the
preset value,the DRO will output a on/off signal to stop the EDM machining.
The direction setting of Z axis is shown in figure 1,i.e.the depth is larger,and
the value on Z axis will be larger.
According to the set direction of Z axis.The machining
direction gets negative and positive.When the electrode
goes down,the machining direction is from upper to
lower,the value on Z axis become larger.We call this as
positive direction(Positive).When the electrode goes up.
The machining direction is from lower to upper,and the
value of Z axis will decrease.We call this negative
machining direction(Negative) (Shown in figure 1)

This DRO also gets fire prevention for reverse height.This is a intelligent
position following function for safety.When the electrode gets carbon
deposition for positive direction machining,especially for long time machining
with no supervision.The carbon deposition will increase on electrode.
Step 3: Press to calculate
X axis displays taper
Y axis displays the angle
Step4: Press to exit.
