Work on the electrical system and the refrigerant circuit must be carried out by
AHt-authorised specialist personnel only (personnel trained in the handling of
fl ammable refrigerants).
▶ The refrigerant circuit may only be opened and the refrigerant may only be extract-
ed in well-ventilated rooms outside of store business hours (no customer traffi c) or
in the open air.

Disconnect the appliance before all service and repair work (see
➙
9.2).
▶
Safeguard the appliance against unintentional restart.
▶ During repairs, a competent person who is aware of the local circumstances must
be available as a contact person for the AHT-authorised specialists.

Properly dispose of equipment containing fl ammable refrigerant and equip-
ment with insulating foam (thermal insulation polyurethane foam containing
pentane). Inquire at your local authority about the safety-related and statutory
disposal regulations.
AHT appliances have been designed to ensure they are environmentally friendly and easy to dis-
pose of. Neither the R-290 refrigerant nor the propellant pentane (for the insulating foam) have the
potential to deplete ozone, nor do they contribute directly to the greenhouse eff ect.
1.6.2 Mechanical risks

Transporting the appliance with lift trucks. Risk of personal injury in the event
of a collision.

Follow transport routes for lift trucks.
▶ Securely fasten transported goods.
▶ Only trained personnel are permitted to operate lift trucks.

risk of appliance tipping over. limbs can be pinched or trapped (see

chap. 7).
▶ Remove the transport pallet only when the appliance is in the stable, fi nal installa-
tion position.

Use tilt protection.
▶ The appliance can only be positioned and dismantled with the use of tilt protection.

Tilt protection installation service (see

Fig. 5.1) may only be removed when
there is no longer a risk of tipping over. In the event the appliance is to be set up
on an island, secure it using the wall or the appliance next to it, for example. (Tilt
protection installation service is included as an accessory to the AHT installation
service.)

▶ Do not place any heavy bottle packs on the top shelves / display racks.

Improper assembly of the shelves / display racks. Risk of injury due to falling
shelves / display racks loaded with products.
▶ When hanging shelves / display racks, they must be snapped into place in the
provided openings.
