Charging the rechargeable battery of the re-
mote control
Charge the rechargeable battery of the remote
control daily after finishing work using the charger
provided.
The rechargeable battery is located in the lower
part of the remote control.
Replacing the rechargeable battery of the re-
mote control
If the rechargeable battery of the remote control
no longer maintains an adequate charge or runs
down too quickly, it must be replaced. The ex-
pected service life of a rechargeable battery is 3
to 6 years. This also depends on the conditioning.
The battery is located on the bottom of the remote
control. You can remove the battery by pushing it
towards the contacts and lifting it up. Install the
battery by pushing it towards the contacts and in-
serting it downwards. Ensure that the battery is
placed correctly.
Check state of charge of the battery every
100 h
Make sure that the ignition is switched off and that
no current consumers are running. Consumers
that are not permanently disconnected will cause
a gradual voltage drop.
Check the battery (A/19) with a voltage tester.
The voltage must be above 12.4 V. If the voltage
is too low, charge the battery and repeat the test.
If the battery does not retain sufficient charge alt-
hough it is not used, it must be replaced.
