Recharging the battery
Lithium-polymer bateries are very vulnerable to incorrect charging. Use regular Li-
Pol or Li-On battery chargers only. It is essential to use charger with 54.6V output.
Some models can labeled as 48V. 48V is nominal voltage of battery and you can use
this kind of charger with no problems. The charger output current should be up to 4A
so as not to affect your battery lifetime.
Original delivered charger is 3A. It takes cca 3 - 3.5 hours to fully charge an empty
battery.
Connect the charger to your battery first then plug
charger into the mains. Red lamp on the charger
indicates the battery is charging. When the red
light turns green the battery is fully charged.
Mains with 6A circuit braker is OK. Try to do 5 or 6
complete charge/discharge cycles when you
purchase your bike. After that you can charge the
battery whenever you need as Li-Pol batteries
have no memory effect. When the battery is fully charged, the charge will switch to
