Polarization extinction ratio (PER)
The ratio of optical power in the slow axis of the polarization-
maintaining fiber to optical power in the fast axis.
Measurement
: with a polarization analyzer by mechanically stressing
the Panda fiber.
Coherence control
Linewidth broadening of optical signal by internal laser modulation.
Modulation, digital
Output signal is modulated with 50% duty cycle by internal on / off
switching of the laser current. Switching frequencies as specified.
ON- switching with fast output power
stabilization
When the laser is switched on after the specified warm-up time the
output power will settle within the specified time to comply with the
power stability specifications.
Tuning Speed
Maximum time required to change the wavelength of the optical signal
between the extreme ends of the specified wavelength tuning range.
