MAINTENANCE
Some basic maintenance as described in
this chapter can be done by the operator.
For other maintenance jobs or defects the
Agfa authorized repair service dept.
should be called.
Being constructed of the best materials the
processor requires very little maintenance.
However, chemicals, water and film cause
deposits and, therefore, cleaning is the most
essential part of a good maintenance pro-
gramme.
NOTE: To avoid water outlet owing to
leakage of the hose connection,
turn off the water when the processor
is not in use
You should follow these cleaning instructions
in order to obtain optimum processing results
and to keep the processor in good working
order.
In order to avoid algae growth on the rollers
in the wash rack, the wash rack should be
taken out every evening and remounted the
following morning. Furthermore, the wash
tank should be drained every evening. This
will prevent algae growth in the wash tank.
If the processor is left in the standby mode
for a longer period of time, or if it is not in use,
all tanks must be either full or empty in order
to avoid deflections of the partitions between
the wet sections.
CAUTION:
When fresh chemical solutions are
filled in, make sure that all air has been
expelled from all circulation and re-
plenishment pumps and hoses before
the processor is started up. This is to
ensure the circulation of the chemicals
THE PUMPS MUST NOT RUN DRY
AT ANY TIME
Before cleaning procedure is started
switch off all power on the mains outlet
switch
DAILY CLEANING

using a new cloth for each rack.
3) Clean all guides above the liquid level.

residues and run some cleaning films through
the processor.
WEEKLY CLEANING

clean it thoroughly with warm water (35-40
0
C).
