OPERATION
SPRING TINE DEPTH ADJUSTMENT
The operator controls the depth of the spring tines
by the use of the transport cylinder. When the
transport wheels lower the machine to the ground,
the work position begins (rollers only). As the
transport cylinder retracts, the transport wheels
continue to raise and the tines plunge deeper into
the soil. The maximum digging depth is 6" for 17",
19" and 20" rollers.
TINE BAR RETAINER PLACEMENT
Check that the tine bar retainers are in the proper
locations.
For 17" rollers the retainers are in the upper holes of
the hanger brackets.
For 19" rollers the retainers are in the center holes of
the hanger brackets.
For 20" rollers the retainers are in the lower holes of
the hanger brackets.
The short end of the retainer points inward on the
rear tine bar and on the outrigger positions on the
front tine bar of C-tine machines.
The long end of the retainer points inward on the
front tine bar of the machines equipped with S-tines.
Also, on the two center frame positions of machines
equipped with C-tines.
