HANDLING THE APPLIANCE
Where to place the appliance
• Place the appliance on a stable, flat, heat-resistant and moisture-resistant surface
Make sure that the appliance cannot slip or tip over!
• Make sure to maintain a sufficient distance to objects that are above or next to
the appliance (e.g. cupboards), which could be impaired or damaged by air exit-
ing from it.
• The power cord must not be routed through sinks!
Before using the appliance the first time
• Carefully remove all packaging and securing materials from the appliance and
the accessories.
• To remove dust or any production residue, clean the appliance and accessories as
described under ‘Cleaning and maintenance’.
Note
• The maximum amount of water must not exceed 2/3 of the total capacity of the
steam vessel (4).
• Before filling the steam vessel (4) with water, make sure that the drain tap is
closed.
• Always make sure that the steam vessel (4) is sufficiently filled with water to
prevent the food being preserved from drying out or being damaged.
• There may be a slight odour forming when the appliance is used for the first
time. This is due to manufacturing and is completely normal and harmless.
Please ensure adequate ventilation.
