4.1.8 Gantry axis superstructure
The axes can be installed as gantry units; further information about this can be found
in our handling catalogue or on the website.
4.1.9 Assembly process for load transmission unit
CAUTION
High speeds with large loads occur for this application case;
therefore the necessary precautions must be taken with a safety
fence (protective device). The system constructor is
responsible for this! The company Afag Automation AG accepts
no responsibility for this
Assembly Process:
1. Clamping set 1 (screws to the shaft pointing) and insert into the main shaft bearing
journals 2 , A (motor) and tighten.
2. Second Transmission shaft 7 with the couplings 3 and 4 prepare, (release clutch 3 and
make flush with the transmission shaft 7 ).
3. Third Transmission shaft 7 with clutch 3 to pin 2 between the A and B axle bearing slide.
4. Push pins 5 and 6 in the clamping unit axle bearing B .
5. Transmission shaft 7 with the couplings 3 and 4 align.
6. Tighten the clutch 3 and 4 and tighten clamping set B , 6 in .
