Take care when touching the RF Input Type N connector after the application of high levels of
continuous power. If 50 W is applied for a prolonged period, the temperature of the connector can
become excessive.
WARNING
RF BURNS
Before making connections to a repeater, ensure that the transmitter cannot be switched on
inadvertently. High levels of RF power can cause electric shocks or skin burns which can have
lasting effects.
RF Input Ports
Before making connections to a repeater, ensure that the output power from the repeater
will not exceed the power handling capability of the Service Monitor. Use suitable
attenuators or sampling equipment if necessary.
Antenna Port
Do not use the ANTENNA input for direct connection when in SYSTEM mode.
With SYSTEM mode selected, setting the ANTENNA port as the RF input port, causes the
input sensitivity to switch to the most sensitive range and disables the automatic gain
control.
