3.3. EXHAUST COMPENSATION VALVE (MCP 125)
The valve is located in the final duct that serves the exhaust compensation unit (in the kitchen). It is
therefore in Ø125 mm. This product is specific to DX system.
The valve can be positioned in any direction, the maximum length being 232 mm.
However,
attention must be paid to the direction of the airflow in the valve:
an arrow marked on the
valve indicates the correct position.
The pressure within the exhaust ductwork is measure in the compensation valve, just after the
damper. This allows to measure the pressure at the same level than the extract units. This measure
takes into account the pressure drops through filters and exhaust ductwork. It ensures at the extract
units the require pressure needed for a perfect running with a very high accuracy.

Check the good quality of the pressure pipe, postionned on the exhaust compensation
valve, before carrying the installation. The pressure pipe must not be crushed.
The valve must be placed in the duct, at a minimum distance equivalent to 3 diameters (38 cm for a
125 mm duct) from any fittings, and from the compensation unit.
In addition, there must be an inspection hatch to access the valve for maintenance.
