2.2.4.2. Telephone hybrid optional module.
At the back panel of AEQ FORUM LITE, integrated double digital telephone hybrid module
connectors can be found, labelled as "
HYBRID-1
" and "
HYBRID-2
". This interface is not
equipped by default unless option "
CA33: DOUBLE DIGITAL TELEPHONE HYBRID
MODULE
" has been purchased.
If you acquire this option later on, simple instructions will be enclosed with the module, allowing
easy installation by any person with minimal experience in handling of electronic equipment or
computers.
Hybrid module has enough capacity to handle two independent phone lines. It has two RJ11
connectors, labelled "
LINE
" to connect the physical phone lines, and two more, labelled as
"
SET
" for loop connections to both external telephone terminals where dialing actions will be
performed.

Control and configuration of the signals present in this module are performed using the
configuration software. For more information, please refer to section "4.2. Hardware
Configuration menu" of this manual.
If this option is not purchased and external compatible communication devices are used, you
can control them using the programmable key section of AEQ FORUM LITE control surface. For
more information, please refer to section "4.3.2.4. Configuration of Codec programmable keys"
of this manual.
2.2.5. Wiring.
All wiring kits described below are optional and have been designed by AEQ to simplify the
installation of the unit. To facilitate the quick connection of the console in almost any installation,
AEQ can supply audio and data cables with the corresponding DB-type connectors that are
used to connect the unit. These cables can be cut to desired lengths and soldered on patch
panels, punched into connector strips or fitted with the corresponding connectors to be used
directly connected to the peripheral equipment.
For easiest installation, FORUM LITE console uses a single type of Multiconnector:
female DB
15
, so only two types of cable are required: data and audio. Their description (for the maximal
configuration) is:
•
FR CAB INP:
Male DB15 connector connected to a balanced and shielded four pair, 6-
meter cable with open-end termination, for 4 audio inputs or outputs. Max 9 cables per
console.
