2. Safety
2.1 Intended
use
The appliance heats inside and outside.
Any other use beyond that described shall be deemed inappropriate. Observation of these instructions is also part of the cor-
rect use of this appliance. Any modifications or conversions to the appliance void all warranty rights.
2.2 Safety
information
CAUTION Injury
Never use the appliance as a heater for a baby or nappy changing table.
Do not look into the light for very long.
WARNING Electrocution
Never insert any object into any aperture in the appliance. This can lead to fatal electric shocks and/or fires.
Never lift the appliance if it, or its power cable, is damaged.
DANGER Electrocution
Never operate the appliance if its power cable has been damaged.
Damaged power cables must only be replaced by the manufacturer, the manufacturer’s customer service or similarly
qualified personnel.
WARNING Fire
Never operate this appliance ...
... in areas at risk from fire.
... in rooms that are at risk from fire or explosion as a result of chemicals, dust, gases or vapours.
... near pipes or receptacles that carry or contain flammable or explosive materials.
... if work such as laying cables, grinding or sealing is carried out in the installation room.
... if naphtha, sprays, floor polish or similar products are handled.
Observe the minimum clearances. For this, see the chapter Specification.
Never place any objects on top of the appliance. Never lean any objects against it or place any objects between the ap-
pliance and the wall.
Never place any flammable, combustible or insulating objects or materials, such as laundry, blankets, magazines, contain-
ers with floor polish or naphtha, spray cans or similar, near the appliance.
CAUTION Burns
Never touch the appliance while it is in use. The surface of the appliance reaches approx. 80 °C during operation.
The grille also remains hot after the appliance is switched off.
Never touch the quartz tubes.
Never adjust the pivoting angle of the appliance in use.
Where children or persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities are allowed to control this appliance, en-
sure that this will only happen under supervision or after appropriate instruction by a person responsible for their safety.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they never play with the appliance.
Ensure that the power cable is never in contact with the hot appliance, other parts or sharp edges.
