ADJUSTING THE RIVING KNIFE
(FIG. 5)
WARNING!
1. Do not use saw blades the disc of which is thicker or the
set of which is smaller than the thickness of the riving knife.
2. Ensure that the riving knife is adjusted so that: (Fig. 5)
A: The distance between the riving knife and the toothed
rim of the saw blade is not more than 5 mm.
B: The toothed rim does not extend more than 5 mm
beyond the lower edge of the riving knife.
3. The riving knife should always be used except when
plunging in the middle of the work piece.
ADJUSTING THE CUTTING
DEPTH (FIG. 6 A, 6 B, 7, 8)
1. To adjust the cutting depth, loosen the depth adjustment
knob. (Fig. 6A)
2. Slide the base plate to the desired depth and retighten the
knob securely. (Fig. 6B)
3. The cutting depth can be determined by the depth scale
and the projection or measuring the distance between the
blade protrusion and the base plate. (Figs. 7 & 8)
ADJUSTING THE CUTTING
BEVEL (FIG. 9 A & 9 B)
1. The true cutting angle may be adjusted to any desired
angle between 0° and 50°. (Fig. 9A)
2. Loosen the knob bolt which are positioned at the front of
the tool and move the base plate to the desired angle
according to the bevel scale. (Fig. 9B)
3. After adjusting the desired angle, be sure to retighten the
knob bolt firmly.
