To play back the default outgoing messages:
1. Press the program key ( 4 ) twice to access answering machine opera-
tion mode.
2. Press the asterisk key . The cassette icon is displayed.
3. Press numerical key 5 .
4. Default outgoing message 1 or 2 is played back.
8.6 Recording the Outgoing Messages
You can personalise the outgoing messages (1 and 2) by overwriting the
default outgoing messages (1 and 2). Both outgoing messages must last at least
5 seconds, but may not last longer than 2 minutes. Speak with a loud and clear
voice at 5-10 cm from the microphone (
7 ).
a) Recording Outgoing Message 1
1. Press the program key ( 4 ) twice to access answering machine opera-
tion mode.
2. Press numerical key 0. The display shows SET.
3. Press numerical key 1 . The display shows SET ANN1.
4. You will hear a long beep indicating the beginning of recording.
5. Record your message.
6. Press numerical key 6 to end recording.
7. You will hear a long beep indicating the end of recording.
8. The phone will play back the outgoing message 1 you just finished record-
ing.
If your message is not satisfactory, you can restart the recording procedure until
you are satisfied.
Example of an Outgoing Message 1: “Hello, you have reached X. I am not in
at the moment, but if you leave a message after the beep, I will recall you as
soon as possible.”
b) Recording Outgoing Message 2
1. Press the program key ( 4 ) twice to access answering machine opera-
tion mode.
2. Press numerical key 0 . The display shows SET.
3. Press numerical key 3 . The display shows SET ANN2.
4. You will hear a long beep indicating the beginning of recording.
5. Record your message.
6. Press numerical key 6 to end recording.
7. You will hear a long beep indicating the end of recording.
