Introduction
This chapter explains the advanced functions of the POC-WP242 BIOS menu.
1.
Power Button Function Enable/Disable
Users can enable/disable the power button function via the BIOS menu.
If the power button is disabled during SO (System On) mode, the power button
will be immediately disabled, preventing users from turning off the using the
power button. Consequently, users will need to employ software to turn off the
system. This function can prevent unintentional touching of the power button
from resulting in an accidental system shutdown.
BIOS Menu Location
BIOS Menu - Advanced - Embedded Controller Configuration - Power Button
Function
Enable: Activates the power button function when in SO (System On) mode
(default).
Disable: Deactivates the power button function when in SO (System On)
mode.
Press and hold the power button for at least 5 seconds to power the system
on/off.

Brightness Button Control
The LCD backlight button function can be enabled/disable via the BIOS menu.
If the LCD backlight button is disabled, the button will not function, preventing
users from adjusting the LCD backlight luminance by using this button. This
function can prevent unintentional touching of the LCD backlight button from
accidentally altering the LCD backlight luminance.

BIOS Menu - Advanced - Embedded Controller Configuration - Brightness But-
ton Control
Enable: Activates the front bezel LCD backlight control button (default).
Disable: Deactivates the front bezel LCD backlight control button.

Volume Button Control
The front bezel volume button function can be enabled/disabled via the BIOS
menu. If the front volume button is disabled, the button will not function, pre-
venting users from adjusting the speaker volume using this button. This function
can prevent unintentional touching the front volume button from accidentally
altering the speaker volume.

BIOS Menu - Advanced - Embedded Controller Configuration - Volume But-
ton Control
Enable: Activates the front bezel volume control button (default).
Disable: Deactivates the front bezel volume control button.
