1.1 Description
The AWS-8430 series is a standard 6U industrial workstation,
designed to operate in tough industrial environments.
It features a 12.1" TFT LCD and membrane keypads, which
makes the system an ideal Human-Machine Interface.
Although the system is only 220mm in depth, it can still fit a slim
FDD, a slim CD-ROM and two 3½" HDD units.
The AWS-8430 series provides a variety of options to meet your
system demands. PCI and ISA backplanes are available with a
variety of CPU card options. As for power supplies, choices
range from the standard AC 110/220 V to DC 24 V or - 48 V.
Two 49 CFM fans efficiently eliminate internal thermal flows,
which creates a stable environment for the system to work in.
The stainless steel back case gives the whole body a solid,
corrosion-resistant body frame.
Versatile backplane supply
The backplanes were formed by four-layer PCBs with ground
and power planes for reduced noise and lower power-supply
impedence. They have LED power indicators for +5 V, +12 V,
-5 V and -12 V. The PCA-6107P2 contains three PCI-compati-
ble slots, four PC/AT-compatible (ISA-bus) slots and one
dedicated slot for the CPU card. The PICMG standard and
three power connectors were obtained by PCA-6107P2.
