AVAS-212 User Manual
CAUTION!
When a firmware version is installed on an NDcoder that is not compatible with the AVAS-212 hardware
version, the NDcoder will not start up. Installing an incorrect firmware version may damage the hardware of
the NDcoder. After installing an incorrect version, installing a new version (to correct the installation) may
no longer be possible. In these situations the NDcoders have to be returned for repair.
Information about software and hardware compatibility and about updating the NDcoder firmware can be
found in the
AVAS-212 – Software and Firmware Manual.
Ensure that the firmware installed in the AVAS-212 NDcoders is compatible with the installed version of
the AVAS-212 Server Software. When the NDcoder firmware is incompatible with the running AVAS-212
Server Software, the NDcoder might not be detected by the AVAS-212 Server Software. In this case the
NDcoder will not function correctly.
Information about NDcoder and AVAS-212 Server compatibility and about updating the AVAS-212
Server Software or the NDcoder firmware can be found in the
AVAS-212 – Software and Firmware
Manual.
Mixing AVAS-212 NDcoder firmware packages from different releases will not result in optimal system
performance. Please use NDcoder firmware versions from one distribution in all NDcoders in your
system, in combination with a compatible version of the AVAS-212 Server Software.
