Alignment
The easiest way to align Spatial FOG is by installing it with the sensor axes aligned
with the vehicle axes. This means that the X axis points forward towards the front of
the vehicle and the Z axis points down towards the ground.
If aligning Spatial FOG with the vehicle axes is not possible or not optimal, it may be
mounted in a diferent alignment and the alignment ofset should be configured using
the alignment configuration dialogue in Spatial FOG Manager, see section 11.8.4. For
easy alignment, the set zero orientation button in the Spatial FOG Manager alignment
dialogue can be used to set the current orientation as the zero orientation alignment,
see section 11.8.4. Please note that this will only correct for roll and pitch ofsets. Any
heading ofset will need to be entered manually and saved before using this function.

Mounting Plate
Spatial FOG's mounting plate and hole guide is shown below in Illustration 16. The
holes are designed for M4 bolts. The alignment holes can be used to ensure precise
alignment of Spatial FOG through the use of alignment pins.
