Troubleshooting table
Error
Cause
Solution
Pump time exceeded
Jar was disconnected
during evactuation
Reconnect the jar
Lid of jar was opened during recipe
Close and retighten the clamp
Pump is losing capacity
Pump needs to be serviced.
Fill time exceeded
Enough pressure but not enough
gas flow
Check for kinks in the gas tube. Open the gas supply fully
or replace gas cylinder if it is nearly empty.
Restriction in the
Anoxomat (clogged?)
Contact Anoxomat distributor or Advanced Instruments.
Jar was disconnected during filing
Reconnect jar and restart the recipe
Lid of jar was opened during program Close and retighten the clamp. Restart the recipe.
Lid was not tightened enough with
the jar lid clamp, allowing gas to
escape during last stages of the
filling process
Tighten the jar clamp
Anoxomat software does not
start up
Power breakdown or system or
system was shut down irregularly
Turn off system power, wait a few seconds and turn on
system again. Select screen option “Retry starting the
Anoxomat” and check box “Restore factory defaults” and
click OK.
Error “Setting file is corrupted,
default settings are loaded”
As the error appears, press OK. The system will restart
with factory default settings. All laboratory specific-data
(i.e. recipes, registrations, software activation codes) will
need to be re-entered.
Touch-screen does not
respond properly
The pressure area is too large
Use the soft-touch pen.
The touch-screen needs to
recalibration, the screen does
not respond as software tabs
are selected.
Turn off the Anoxomat. Press and hold the start button
while turning on the Anoxomat. Follow the on-screen
instructions to recalibrate the touch-screen
Jar Is not connected properly
(connection is not used)
Release the vacuum in the jar by pushing into the
snap-shut coupling using a pencil.
Anoxomat has detected a
vacuum condition in the jar. The
jar has been partly processed
Before reconnecting the jar, pull the outer ring of the
snap-shut coupling downward.
Misidentified samples
Incorrect sample ID entered manually
Use barcode scanner to scan samples, or manually
recheck ID to reduce transcription errors
