recommended cable length is 10 meters (33 ft.). To minimize interference from
adjacent electrical equipment, the EMI shield in the cable must be terminated to the
metal shells of the cable’s connectors.
Remote Interface Connector (J2)
Figure 4-1 shows the remote interface connector (J2).

The remote interface connector (J2) uses a 25-pin, shielded, female, subminiature-D
connector.
Table 4-2 describes the connector pin signals for the remote interface connector.

(LOAD) Ground input This pin enables remote operation of
the load servomotor when grounded.
3 REMOTE ON (TUNE) Digital output This pin is low when the controller is
in remote mode.
4 REMOTE ON (LOAD) Digital output This pin is low when the controller is
in remote mode.
5 REMOTE ON/OFF
(TUNE) Ground input This pin enables remote operation of
the tune servomotor when grounded.
6 - TUNE LIMIT Digital output This pin is low when the negative
tune limit is exceeded.
7 + TUNE LIMIT Digital output This pin is low when the positive tune
limit is exceeded.
8 FAILURE OUTPUT Digital output This pin is low in normal operation,
high if there is a failure.
9 -LOAD LIMIT Digital output This pin is low when the negative
load limit is exceeded.
