Unit
The Unit menu is used to change the baud rate of the
Control In port and the setup of the Dial Out port.
Operation
Follow standard operating procedure to access the
Unit menu.
With the cursor on 2)UNIT, activate the menu with
Enter
or number 2. The unit displays the first two
menu items.
Continue with standard operating procedure to select
the baud rate, set modem flow control, set up the
number used for alarm dial out, and exit the menu.
Unit Menu Items
The menu items are:
CTL PORT
• Sets the baud rate for communication with the PC
or
modem.
• Available rates are 1200, 2400, 9600, 19200, and
38400.
TRAPS
• Enables or disables the transmission of trap
messages.
ACCESS
• Sets the method of connection for trap messages
from
the TSU 120 to T-Watch/SNMP.
• Options:
- Direct - Used if connected directly to the PC.
- Dial - Used when connection is through a modem.
The dial string is entered from T-Watch/SNMP.
MODEM INIT
Allows the user to choose an industry standard or a
custom initialization string for a modem connected to
the control port.
EXIT TERM MODE
Take the unit out of terminal mode.
