Menu flow is normally depicted from left to right.
Arrows on the lower right of the screen indicate the
direction of scrolling to use to view additional menu
items. At every level of the menu pressing Cancel
returns the system to the previous menu level. Press-
ing Cancel repeatedly returns the system to the Main
menu.
Network (NI)
This menu item accesses the configuration of param-
eters associated with the network interface in the base
unit. There are eight menu items that include setting
the format, the line build out (LBO), and the timing
mode. Menu items do not include setting the param-
eters which may be necessary for a secondary interface
(DSX-1 Passthru, etc.), except for timing.
Operation
Follow standard operating procedure to access the
Network (NI) menu items.
With the cursor on 1)NETWORK (NI), activate the
menu with Enter or number 1. The unit displays the
first two configuration menu items. The Down Arrow
indicates there are additional menu item selections
available.
Continue with standard operating procedures to edit
the network interface parameters.
Network (NI) Menu Items
The menu items available are:
FORMAT
Sets the frame format for the NI.
Choices: D4, ESF
D4 is equivalent to superframe format (SF).
CODE
Sets the line code for the NI.
Choices: AMI, B8ZS
