Mounting the Enclosure
Use
a
maximum
of
a
#10
screw
to
fit
properly
in
the
diameter
of
the
mounting
holes
(see
).
Make
sure
to
leave
a
minimum
clearance
of
2
inches
(50
mm)
from
the
hinges
for
opening
the
door.
Complete
the
following
steps
to
mount
the
enclosure:
1. Using
the
enclosure
as
a
template
and
a
carpenter’s
level,
mark
the
locations
for
the
two
mounting
holes
on
the
mounting
surface.
(For
an
indoor
mount,
prepare
the
mounting
surface
by
attaching
a
3/4
inch
(19
mm)
plywood
board
to
the
wall
studs.
This
provides
long
‐
term
stability
for
the
SFU
ONT.)
2. Pre
‐
drill
the
marked
locations
and
install
fasteners
or
anchors
appropriate
to
the
mounting
surface
and
the
weight
of
the
ONT
(each
anchor
rated
to
15
lbs
minimum,
or
6.8
kg)
and
the
weight
of
the
SFU
ONT
(approximately
3.8
pounds,
or
1.7
kg).
3. Mount
the
ONT
to
the
side
of
the
subscriber
premises.
