Quick Exit
When your security system is armed, you can use the quick exit method to quickly open and close an
entry/exit door without fully disarming the system. The quick exit method temporarily disarms the
entry/exit doors and automatically arms them again after a brief period of time (generally, 120 seconds,
depending on your system configuration). You might find it convenient to use this method when you
want to take in your mail or newspaper or let someone in but do not want to disarm the system fully and
then have to re-arm it a moment later.
To use the quick exit method, touch Disarm but do not enter the security code when the numeric keypad
appears.
The system disarms entry/exit doors and displays the numeric keypad in anticipation of receiving the code.
At this point, you can safely open a door or window once and close it again without entering the code.
When the door or window closes and you do not enter the code after the configured period of time, the
security system returns to the previous armed state, and the numeric keypad disappears.
