If you are replacing an existing backup battery

, perform the following steps. 

Otherwise, proceed to “Installing the Backup Battery Option,” beginning on page 8.

a.

Disconnect the battery charger board from the timeclock’s main board.

b. Trace the wires back to the charger board, freeing them from the hooks molded into 

the base of the timeclock.
