Before you begin, please read the following:
Caution
There is danger of explosion if the battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace the battery only
with the same or equivalent type of battery recommended by the manufacturer. Dispose of
used batteries according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Attention

You are about to install the Series
4000 timeclock to include the backup
battery. 1. Follow the instructions in the Series 4000 Badge
Timeclock Installation Guide (that shipped with the
timeclock), until it refers you to this Backup Battery
Option Kit Installation Guide .
2. Follow the instructions in this guide, starting with
“Installing the Backup Battery Option” on page 8.
3. Go back to the Series 4000 Badge Timeclock
Installation Guide and continue following those
instructions, beginning with “Installing the
Transformer” in Chapter 2.
You have already installed the Series
4000 timeclock and now want to add
or replace the backup battery. Follow the instructions in this guide, beginning with the
section called “Preparing an Installed Series 4000
Timeclock for Battery Installation” beginning on page 3.
