INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE 
Oil Filter 

 

 

Remove the oil filter cartridge with an oil filter wrench. 

 

Apply a thin coat of engine oil to the o-ring of the new oil filter cartridge. 

 

Install the new oil filter cartridge with an oil filter wrench, and then tighten it to the specified 
torque with a torque wrench. 

 

 

 

WARNING 

 

Oil level will not be correct when checking the oil level with the vehicle parked on an 
unleveled ground or immediately after the engine stopped. 

 

Engine and exhaust pipe are hot right after engine stopped. Pay special attention not to 
get burned when checking or replacing engine oil.
