PREPARING THE APPLIANCE
The appliance must be assembled before use:
1. Place the appliance lying
on its side. Place the
cord (1) between the two
parts of the extension
pieces (5) so that the
end with the square
flange with the assembly
holes is facing the
bottom of the appliance
(see picture I.). Join
the extension piece by
pressing it together until
a click is heard.
2. Press the extension
piece on to the bottom of
the appliance so that the
small dowel fits into the
recess on the appliance
(see picture II.). Attach
the extension piece to
the appliance using the 4
short screws (9).
. Place the cord between
the two halves of the
base (7) and assemble
the base by inserting the
round dowels from the
one half into the collector
rings (8) on the other
half. Ensure the two halves are perfectly level, and
that the cord moves freely through the hole at the
centre of the base.
4. Pass the cord through the groove (6) at the edge of
the base and secure it by turning the white plastic
holder over the cord (see picture III.).
5. Position the base against the extension piece so
that the dowel of the base fits into the hole of the
extension piece and the screw holes are level. Join
the two parts together using the 4 long screws (9)
(see picture IV.).
6. Stand the appliance on the base. The appliance
now ready for use.
Clean the appliance before using it (see the section
“Cleaning” below).
Placing batteries in the remote control
Open the battery compartment by sliding off the
cover at the rear of the remote control. Insert 2 x
AAA batteries as shown in the diagram in the battery
compartment and replace the cover.
• If the appliance does not respond, or responds
slowly, when activating the remote control, it could
be because the batteries need replacing.
• Never mix new and old, or standard and
rechargeable batteries.
• Always remove the batteries from the remote control
if the appliance is not to be used for a prolonged
period.
