Please note that a sticker must not be stuck on top of the ridges.
The stickers do not stick permanently and can easily be removed later.
Remove the sticker from the booklet as soon as you have filled it in, so that
the adhesive surface will not get dirty.
6 Use of the Med-O-Wheel Smart
The Med-O-Wheel Smart acts like an electronic alarm clock. If necessary, it
reminds the user to take his/her medicine through an audible signal. At the
same time, the dispenser ensures that only the correct dosage is
administered. Please note that the device will not rotate the dosage
cassette without the user pressing the button in the middle of the cover, and
then ‘requesting’ the next dose.
An important part of the correct and desired operation of the device is its
accurate setting to the needs of the user:
•
time of day
•
the number of compartments in the cassette (14 or
28)
•
the volume of the audible signal
•
dosage times: one, two, three or four times a day
6.1 Settings mode
The settings of the Med-O-Wheel Smart can be made when its cover is
open. If necessary, see Paragraph 4.2 concerning the opening of the cover.
When you have opened the cover of the dispenser, you will see the user
interface as depicted in the adjacent picture. Its symbols will help you to
remember which settings you can make.
If you wish, you can enter, check or change the
settings. Switch the device to settings mode by
pressing button 1 on the left, and by holding it
down for about three seconds, until the device
emits an audible signal and the time and yellow
indicator light start to blink.
