6.0 Troubleshooting
Warning
Allow only qualified personnel to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks.
•
Only persons who are properly trained and familiar with ADB Safegate equipment are permitted to service this
equipment.
•
Disconnect and lock out electrical power.
•
Always use safety devices when working on this equipment.
•
Follow the recommended maintenance procedures in the product manuals.
•
Do not service or adjust any equipment unless another person trained in first aid and CPR is present.
•
Connect all disconnected equipment ground cables and wires after servicing equipment. Ground all conductive
equipment.
•
Use only approved ADB Safegate replacement parts. Using unapproved parts or making unapproved modifications
to equipment may void agency approvals and create safety hazards.
•
Check interlock systems periodically to ensure their effectiveness.
•
Do not attempt to service electrical equipment if standing water is present. Use caution when servicing electrical
equipment in a high-humidity environment.
•
Use tools with insulated handles when working with electrical equipment.

on
Defective lamp
Replace lamp. Refer to Lamp Replacement in the Repair section.
Loose wire connection(s)
Tighten wire connection(s).
Isolation transformer bad
Replace transformer.
Deteriorated wire insulation
Replace wires.
Moisture present in fixture
Open up and dry. Inspect lens for cracks. Replace lamp and any
damaged parts.

6.1 Repair
This section provides instructions for replacing lamps for the L-862/L-862E light fixtures.
6.1.1 Lamp Replacement
To replace a lamp, perform the following procedure:
1. See
. Remove the outer globe from the fixture by loosening the clamp band (6) holding the lens to the base.
2. Remove the two inner lens segments by unclipping the inner spring clip.
3. Pull the lamp from the socket.
4. Wearing clean, lint-free gloves, insert the new 2-pin lamp into the lamp socket.
