I/O module replacement
Remove the I/O module
1. Remove power from the sign. Note there may be more than one power source present.
2. Open the sign. See See “Opening a sign” on page 5-1.
3. Use a small screw driver to detach BOTH green terminals from the module.
Note: Do not remove the wires.
4. Loosen both captive screws.
5. Make note of address on module to ensure correct replacement part is used
Install the replacement I/O module
1. Install new module.
Note: Make sure that the inputs (DI) are at the top
.
2. Reconnect the green terminals.
3. Turn the breakers to the ON position to return power to the sign.
WARNING
Hazardous voltage.
Contact with high voltage may cause death or serious injury.
Always disconnect power to unit prior to service.
