2008 MDX: TQI and New Model Information

(Supersedes 07-044, dated August 15, 2007, to update the information marked by the black bars)

This bulletin gives you the information needed for the 

TQI of the 2008 MDX. It also describes some of the 

vehicle’s new features, equipment, and service 

information.
NOTE: To complete the TQI on the MDX with the 

Navigation System, refer to Service Bulletin 06-038, 

2007–08 MDX: TQI of the DVD Navigation System 

With Voice Recognition.

The 2008 MDX comes in these trim levels:

• MDX
• MDX With Technology Package
• MDX With Sport Package
• MDX With Technology and Entertainment Packages
• MDX With Sport and Entertainment Packages

This bulletin includes these TQI procedures:

• Install the Fuses
• Check the Battery
• Install the Shift Lock Release Cover
• Enter the Audio and Navigation System Anti-Theft 

Codes

• Set the Clock and Calendar (Models Without 

Navigation)

• Check the Clock (Models With Navigation)
• Remove the Protective Coverings From the Interior
• Remove the Protective Coverings From the Exterior 
• Install the Floor Mats
• Check/Set the Tire Pressures (Including the Spare 

Tire)

• Install the Front License Plate Holder
• Install the Front Strakes
• Install the Body Plugs
• Set Up the Rear Entertainment System (If Equipped)
• Activate the Remote Driver’s Seat Memory

WARRANTY CLAIM INFORMATION

None. The information in this service bulletin is 

considered part of the normal TQI.

TQI PROCEDURES

NOTE: Make sure you complete the TQI form in the 

maintenance journal. You will find it in the glove box. 

The TQI procedure is not finished until this bulletin and 

the TQI form are both completed.

Install the Fuses

To prevent battery drain during shipping, the No. 4 (40 

A, Backup/ACC) fuse is removed and stored in the 

glove box. Make sure the ignition switch is in LOCK (0), 

then reinstall the fuse in the main under-hood fuse box.
